and why? awake also can be used as an adj.
awake 可以用作形容词

为什么都说第一个不对，第一个是对的啊，很常见的用法啊
He is awake to the serious problem. 他已意识到了这个严重的问题。
He is awake to the world situation.

反而是第二种不太常见，第二种的比喻用法比较少，一般都是醒来表面意思，但偶尔有第一句的比喻意思。

两个都对，awake to是固定短语，意思是醒悟

He is awake to the serious problem应该是He is awaking to the serious problem.
